Charlamagne Tha God Offers President A Memory…

Monday, October 8th, 2018

Charlamagne Tha God is a hip-hop producer and radio personality. Charlamagne runs his own company, CThaGod World LLC and co-host of Brilliant Idiots a favorite podcast. Charlamagne Tha God has directed and acted in movies like Bodied (2017), on the run eating (2018) and Grow House (2017) to mention but a few. That’s why Charlamagne took to social media when the president tweeted from the White House about the “..dangerous times” that young men currently live in.

In his tweet the president suggests that an otherwise perfect man can be completely ruined by false allegations. Charlamagne Tha God certainly agrees, but his choice of young men to reference was of particular interest. He referenced the Central Park Five. The radio host welcomed the president to “…the black man’s world!” After that, he suggested that now the president knows how the Central Park five felt.

Let’s rewind for those that are unaware of the young men referenced. The Central Park five were five African American men that were wrongfully accused in 1989 of raping a white jogger that survived the attack. Donald Trump spends almost $90k that year publishing a full-color ad in the press suggesting that then-mayor (Koch) bring the death penalty back to New York. See Related Link for more information.

His exact words were along the lines of “…I want to hate these muggers and murderers. They should be forced to suffer.” Long story short? The real perpetrator came forward, the five were exonerated (after serving many years) and the NYPD was forced to share what is perhaps the most blatantly obvious railroading of justice ever caught on tape; the interrogation of the five boys.

Charlmagne’s reference was a wise one indeed. No matter what one’s opinion on Kavanaugh or the Central Park 5 is, one thing is an undeniable fact. Kavanaugh had little trouble defending his position for the highest court of the land while the five young men went unheard for far too long. Another fact? Kavanaugh was applying for a career change while the young men in NYC really were guilty until they could scramble to prove their innocence. Unfortunately it took them 13 years to do this!

Charlamagne Tha God, a television personality, a co-host of The Breakfast Club made rounds of social media mentions because Eminem called him out in his album “Kamikaze,” Charlamagne thought he will be forever remembered as being part of Eminem’s famous songs. He is happy to be mentioned even if it talks good or bad about him. He definitely likes the “Kamikaze” album, but not the “Revival.” Charlamagne Tha God believes that we are all entitled to have the freedom to say whatever we want to say, but we also have to be mindful if we offended other people of the things we say or do. So, he does not mind Eminem’s slur, he was not offended. He only expressed his views and opinions about Eminem’s Album, though it does not mean that other people will agree.

Eminem may have impressive songs, but the message of the song is not for everybody. Charlamagne Tha God is being honest about what he thinks on Eminem’s recent album. As a media man for quite some time, he says things based on his observations and on what he hears. He may not be a member of the LGBT community, but he feels for the ones that got offended. Eminem is known to be one of the best musician/lyricists. His music will live forever. We can not change the way he express his musicality. He will not be this famous if it was not for his controversial Slim Shady song, and up until now, we are still patronizing his music. Charlamagne Tha God says Eminem’s songs may always touch on politics and other controversies, but it is all part of the spice. We are living in a country where everyone is entitled to their own views and opinions. We just have to be open-minded.

Charlamagne Tha God And Eminem Diss

Monday, September 3rd, 2018

No one was prepared for a surprise album from Eminem, but a lot of fans appear to be very impressed with the content. Charlamagne Tha God is one person that has also taken time to speak about the album and clear his thoughts about the diss. He has stated that he did not necessarily believe that Eminem was sending out a diss.

In an interview with, Charlamagne stated that he thought the previous album was wack, but he believed that even Eminem himself thought this his last project was bad. He stated that this is why he believed Eminem decided to drop the new surprise “Kamikaze” album. He knew that he would have to make a better return after having such a weak album prior to that. This is what Charlamagne Tha God believes was the reason for this new album.

In this return with the new album Eminem decided to touch on a number of issues as he dissed other artists like Drake and Joe Budden. There is also a shot that Eminem takes at Machine Gun Kelly as well. This appears to be a reoccurring battle between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly. Charlamagne has been someone that has been very vocal about various topics, and he never hides when he does not like certain material. When he spoke about the Eminem album it was clear that he was not impressed with “The Revival” album, but he has stated that he is a fan of the new “Kamikaze” album that recently dropped. People are also praising the artwork for this album because it resembles the old Beastie Boys “Licensed to Ill” album.

Many people are wondering if Eminem, with an aging fan base, will make a decision to go out on top with an album such as this or if he will continue to rap. Charlamagne Tha God has stated that this is one of the stronger albums from Eminem in the last several years. It is a true indication that he may be getting back to the excellence in rap that he has been known for in the early parts of his career. Refer to This Article for more information.

Charlamagne Tha God- Taking His Life In A New Direction

Monday, August 27th, 2018

Charlamagne Tha God has had his fair share of suffering from anxiety. He talks about this and other things going on in his life in his newest book about his struggles. Shook One: Anxiety Playing Tricks on Me,is his second book and it talks a lot about the vulnerable side he deals with as a radio host. It also goes more into detail about his decision to finally go to therapy for help.

Book Title Based On Song From Mobb Deep

When choosing his new book’s title, Charlamagne Tha God decided to name it after a song by the group Mobb Deep called “Shook Ones.” The song itself refers to not being soft or “shook” about anything. However, Charlamagne tha God is honest about the fact that he is “shook” and has realized that a lot of things he has done were out of fear. These fears he has had were based on fights that he had been involved in years ago. He goes on to explain they were irrational fears and had to do with a lot of the racism he received.

Being Judged For His Past

Charlamagne Tha God hates that people feel it is necessary to bring up things he did wrong in the past, even when it was 10 or more years ago. He said it’s fine to judge the old him. However, the new version of himself deserves to be judged differently. He is a Dallas Cowboys fan and gave his thoughts on the team during a recent interview. See This Page for more information.

#MeToo Movement Thoughts

During his interview, Charlamagne Tha God also spoke of his thoughts about the #MeToo Movement. He has two daughters himself and believes it is important for women to be able to stand up to men. He also talks about racism in his new book. He uses the term “Blackanoid” throughout. This term references the fact that black Americans feel like they are paranoid being the color they are. He feels that many have anxiety because of it. When he turned 39, he decided to go and attend therapy sessions to discuss his own anxiety issues. Between his therapy and faith, he has come a long way and feels he is finally starting to heal.
