Felipe Montoro Jens Sheds Light On Brazil’s Infrastructure

Thursday, March 21st, 2019

Brazil has a problem in buildings that have been stopped with many destroyed. Many of them are in sanitation, but highways, airports, among more, have also been taken into account. The country of Brazil typically does not spend a lot of its revenue on infrastructure and projects that were supposed to be built being delayed and some even shut down according to infrastructure Projects expert Felipe Montoro Jens.

Among the projects interrupted include schools, day-care centers, and facilities for sports, which are necessities in today’s age. This has all been caused by a variety of factors which include financial difficulties, or companies quitting on the goals at hand, and problems of land management, all being reasons for the delays and abandonment of the projects. Planning also has not been cleverly thought, causing the abandonment of various projects, according to another specialist of the National Confederation of Industry, Llana Ferreira. Others took on the projects but could not get them completed because of financial obstacles. Brazil has not been doing well economically, which have caused the failures in completing the projects with the government shutting the work down in response. The government has shut down both state and other projects as a result of the economic crisis.

The CNI has recommended 6 goals to do to avoid the delays and failure in building with improved planning, execution, small planning, a good team to work with, better contracts, and control from the inside and out. It makes a note to not follow the same mistakes and to learn from prior failures according to the director of Policy and Strategy Jose Augusto Fernandes. Brazil tends to not learn from its shortcomings. A spot for the Presidency of the Republic will be open in October, as there is set to be elections in October.
