This year our nation will celebrate and remember a life changing event that happened 75 years ago, the bombing of Pearl Harbor. In recognition of this auspicious event, kusi.com reported that the US Money Reserve and the US Navy Memorial Foundation will jointly dedicate a majestic work of art designed to inspire and honor the men and women who served in the US Navy. The joint venture is an “iconic image” that by itself will live in infamy called The Lone Sailor.

The statue, which will be installed at Pearl Harbor, is the work of the US Navy’s official memorial sculptor, Stanley Bleifeld. Weighing in at approximately 1700lbs, the statue features a sailor looking wistfully ahead and his sea bag and cleat. Steel from the USS Arizona will be incorporated into the base of the Lone Sailor Statue which in itself is a glowing tribute to the loss our nation endured during the war fought on the Pacific front.Your text to link…

Funding for the seven foot bronze statue is a collaborative effort of US Navy Memorial Foundation and the US Money Reserve. The majority of the finances come from the proceeds of sales of the US Money Reserves 75th Anniversary Pearl Harbor Gold and Silver Coin. This coin honors that infamous day of December 7, 1941. It is not only a
valuable recognition of a significant event in our nation’s history, it is also a “shout out” to the greatest generation who ultimately won the war.

The US Money Reserve is a private distributor of US and foreign government issues gold, silver, and platinum monetary products. Located in Austin, Texas and founded in 2001, the Reserve’s involvement in this project is a wonderful way of honoring those who served in sea services, and says thank you to those whose lives contributed to our nation’s “security and prosperity.”
